    Should mention I found George Maslin mentioned in old Soil and Health magazines in the 1970s, along with Jack Meechan who also had a lettuce named for him in the SSE collection, I am guessing they were involved in the early days?

    Grows well in cooler weather and has a nice mild taste. Self-seeds quite well.
