Broad Leaved Endive
Escarole variety of salad/blanching endive with broad crunchy leaves. Forms big heads and
grows well over winter. Sow in late summer for autumn and winter harvest, sow early spring and plant in a shady place for summer harvest. “This is one of my favourite garden staples and grows wild if you let it seed” (Evonne Steinneman).
